[PROJECT] WIN is NEXT ERa Projects (Part 1/3)

Hello everyone! YG Princes will be starting our first project for WIN! This project will be a trilogy, what we also dubbed as the WIN is Next ERa projects. Part 1 and 2 will be starting now, and Part 3 will be a special project to be announced at a later date.

Part 1: Worldwide Video Message

• Just like the name implies, we’ll be collecting video messages from fans around the world.
• Each fan will be limited to 45-seconds. You may send in a video message for either Team A or Team B or even both!
• If you don’t wish to show your face, feel free to send in fanart, and with your audio clip
• Messages said should be in either English or Korean. Our respective collaborating fanbases may/may not translate your messages in your native language to English, so please check up with them on that (a confirmed list of participating fanbases will be up soon)
• Messages will not be translated into Korean, plainly due to the time constraints and also because of the tedious amounts of work it would take.

Deadline: Ideal deadline would October 19 ~ October 20 (We want to send this in before Episode 10 broadcasts)

Since this is to cheer them on for their final battle, please avoid mentioning things like “I’m so happy you debuted!”, etc. or the other team in your message (ie. “Good job on beating Team X!”)

[NEWS] 131007 Who Will Becomes the Rapper of YG’s New Generation?

Who will lead YG’s new generation of rappers? Seven years after Big Bang debuted, YG has prepared reality show, WHO IS NEXT:WIN, for their new boy groups. Within the show, there are 4 members who are rappers, catching the eyes of many viewers.

The battle between Song Minho-Lee Seunghoon and B.I-Bobby is indeed fierce. Team A’s leader, Song Minho, and Lee Seunghoon, along with Team B’s B.I and Bobby, are the representative rapper duos of both team. Each have their own personality and charms, and on the stage, they fire out their raps like a machine gun.

Team A’s Lee Seunghoon and Song Minho are high and low toned, respectively. Showcasing their different rapping styles, they are able to also merge together wonderfully. On the other hand, B.I and Bobby’s rapping styles differ in speed, where one is fast and the other is slower, showing off a unique and fresh personality with the way they complement each other.

The September 27th broadcast showcased the first battle, and the eventual winners from the judges were Team B, while Team A won over the audience votes. Both teams have already begun the second battle, already receiving much attention.

In the first battle, Team A sang Taeyang’s “Only Look at Me” and “Wedding Dress”, showing off each member’s character and charms. Team B’s performance of G-Dragon’s “Crayon” and “One of a Kind” showed YG’s traditional fun style, and their perfect teamwork showed a different performance then Team A.

With both teams as powerhouses, whichever team that receives the most audience votes will become the winner for the 2nd round of voting, leading many people to anticipate the outcomes.

[NEWS] 131006 The Losing Team of WIN Will Disband

Yang Hyun Suk has expressed that the team that loses on WIN will disband unconditionally.

Through a phone interview he said, “The results for WIN will be 100% decided by the viewer votes. We must accept the results unconditionally and fulfill the promise that we made. Originally during the press conference, I said that the team that loses may disband or have their debut delayed, but now I think that it’s better for the team that loses to disband completely.”

[NEWS] 131004 Team A Switches Leaders

On the October 4th episode WIN: Who Is Next, YG Entertainment switched out the team leader for Team A.

In the 7th broadcasted episode ,Team A’s leader Song Minho, due to a leg injury, went to the hospital to get a checkup. The doctor said, “Because it’s a very serious injury, he cannot dance or do any other strenuous activities with his leg.” Consequently, Minho was unable to participate in G-Dragon’s MCountdown stage.

Afterwards, the trainees went to see YG’s CEO. Yang Hyun Suk said, “If the leader that is the team’s pillar becomes injured, what will happen now? Since this is an emergency, let’s change leaders. Kang Seungyoon will be the leader now.”, and gave out his decision.

After suddenly changing leaders, Song Minho said, “I feel like breaking down.” Lee Seunghoon also commented, “After seeing him get hurt and slowly sinking into a dark state, I feel very upset. I’m very worried for him.”
