[NOTICE] Clearing up some common questions about Voting

Q. For KKT, why does it keep showing the dog or not casting my vote even though I’ve done everything in the tutorials?

  • Voting for the 1st battle has already ended. Please wait until Episode 8 and 2nd battle (10.11 ~ 13) to cast your vote.

Q. How exactly is the 3rd LIVE battle round supposed to work?

  • The 3rd round itself is consisted of 60% text message ballots, 20% KKT + Fantasy Runner, and 20% will be from Daum
  • THE FINAL WINNER will consist of 60% of the TOTAL votes come from the 3rd battle around, with 20% from the 1st and 2nd round each.

Q. Can international text messaging work?

  • There’s nothing known about how text messaging will work yet (ie. what number to text to, what you need to text to cast your vote, etc.) so please wait until the LIVE battle round comes around for us to post more detailed information.

I hope that this post cleared up a lot of common questions!

[NEWS] 130930 Team A Wins 1st Round of Audience Voting

winner-trans:

On Mnet’s survival program, WIN: WHO IS NEXT, Team A has won the first round of audience voting.

The first battle also had the judges, which included Daesung, TOP, and 2NE1, choosing which team they believed to be the best, and came out to be a 4:2 in favor of Team B. However, the audience voting seemed to be different, showing that Team A won 51.26% of the votes, and Team B with 48.63% of the votes, only a mere 2.74% difference between the two teams, making Team A the winner of round 1.

Meanwhile, Mnet’s survival program will include 3 rounds of voting with the SNS, and the last of the three will be subject to a LIVE voting process. Once the votes of the three are tallied up, that will determine the final WINNER of the battle.

[ANN] Theme Changes + New Features!

In honor of WIN’s first battle, we’ve changed out Tumblr theme!

We went for a more simplistic and cleaner look this time, trying to make the content as the main focus.

New Features:

  1. Color Scheme - The color scheme we have now is based off of the combined colors of Team A and Team B to signify how we support both. Although we will only be following WINNER in the future, we are unbiased and are supporting both right now.
  2. Important Links - Our default sidebar is now very clean. You’ll notice that we cleaned out all the links located there before and replaced it with “Important Links”. If you click on that, a pop-up box will appear showing you links to what we think are important and helpful information as well as linking to announcements and polls.
  3. Sidebar - If you notice, our default sidebar is very clean and simple, with just a description and two links. If you hover over the 3 bars in white to the very left, you’ll see a list of all of our links and pages, including Tags, Member Profiles, Affiliates, Forums, and more!
  4. SNS - Below the links in the hover sidebar are also the links to our SNS, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and even our e-mail for convenience. With this, everything is just literally at the click of a button.
  5. Search Box - Also on the hover sidebar, you can now search for posts! If you don’t remember when we posted something or just remember a certain snippet of the content, you don’t have to go through the endless archives anymore with the search box. Just type in what you’re looking for, and it will automatically filter through our blog to give you the related results that you’re looking for.
  6. Disqus Comments - In order to promote more activity and discussion, we’ve also decided to implement Disqus, which allows anyone to post comments. You can post comments on our blog posts and even on our pages. The best part about all this is that you don’t need to be signed up on Tumblr or Disqus in order to use this! So join in on the discussion today!

  • Ballots (Text Messaging) will count for 60% (Please note that you must have a Korean phone number to do this.)
  • Daum votes will count for 20%
  • Kakaotalk votes will count for 20%. Voting will be done via Fantasy Runner for KakaoTalk. (KKT and Fantasy Runner are done separately. But to vote via Fantasy Runner, you must have KKT. Each is worth 10%)

Voting Periods:

  • Round 1 (Episode 6): Sept. 27 (11 PM KST) - Sept. 29 (12 AM KST)
  • Round 2 (Episode 8): Oct. 11 (11 PM KST) - Oct. 13 (12 AM KST)
  • LIVE Battle Round (Episode 10): Oct. 25 (Simultaneously with the LIVE broadcast)

Determining the final winner:

  • The votes from all 3 rounds will be added up to determine the final winner.
  • The number of votes from Round 1 count as 20% of the total number of votes
  • The number of votes from Round 2 count as 20% of the total number of votes
  • The number of votes from Round 3 count as 60% of the total number of votes.

How to vote via Fantasy Runner:

  1. Make a Kakao Talk account, if you haven’t already.
  2. You will need to use the Korean iTunes or Google Play store to download this app. (For Android phones, you could try this, but I haven’t tested it.) For iPhones, make a new Apple ID using this tutorial. Scroll all the way down and choose “대한민국” as your store. Agree to the terms by clicking the button on the bottom right corner. Click the right button on the pop-up, too. You will eventually need to enter a real credit card # (although the app is free), and a real Korean province and post code (I chose Jeju-do, because why not. You can use any of these post codes for Jeju-do, and fake the rest of the billing address. Or you can do some research of your own, and use a different province and post code).
  3. Search for and download “판타지 러너즈” from the Korean iTunes store.
  4. Let the app load (the first time takes a while). Click the green button. Then click the yellow button and confirm your Kakao Talk ID. The app should load again. Click the x on any ads that should appear (yes, even the WIN ones). You might need to run through the game one time, as it teaches you how to play.
  5. When you get to this screen, click the mailbox on the bottom left of the screen:

  6. You should have a message waiting that will show you this screen:

Click the green checkmark underneath the team of your choice.
  7. If your screen looks like this, you did it correctly:

How to vote via KakaoTalk:
1. Add WIN from the plus friends list (or just search their ID by typing in ’@win’, make sure the ’@’ symbol is in front)
2. In the chatroom, type in 투표
3. Type in ‘1’ if you want to choose Team A, type in '2’ if you want to choose Team B.
4. Type in '1’ to receive notifications about the battle
5. Type in your name (It doesn’t matter if it’s in Korean or not)
6. Type in your cellphone number with the country code in front (ie. If you live in the USA you should write your number like 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX)
7. Type in '1’ if you’re a male, type in '2’ if you’re a female
8. If you get a message that starts with “투표 성공!”, then you have successfully cast your vote.

How to vote via Daum:
1. Make sure you have already registered for a Daum account. Here is a tutorial on how to create a Daum account, if you do not know how to.
2. Go to the Offiical YG Event Page on Daum and cast your vote by click on the team you want and then clicking on the big red button below the two teams’ images.
3. If you get a pop-up box saying “오늘은 이미 투표하셨습니다”, then that means that you have already successfully cast your vote for today.

How to do Text Message Voting:

  1. Go to http://slidesms.com/beta/outside/
  2. Select Korea, (South Korea)
  3. Put in #5353 for Mobile Number
  4. Type in ‘1’ for Team A or ‘2’ Team B
  5. Click “Send SMS”

Please note that Fantasy Runner is only available on the Korean iTunes store and Korean Google Play store.
